Introducing The Falcon at Castle Ashby
The Falcon is a lovingly restored country hotel set in the heart of the 10,500-acre Castle Ashby estate in rural Northamptonshire, with over four centuries of history at the nearby Castle Ashby House Gardens. Surrounded by an incredible array of flora, fauna and wildlife that is ever-changing with the seasons, it offers a perfect haven for those in need of calm, rest and renewal.A world of wellbeing
With a world of wellbeing right on their doorstep and at the heart of everything they do, The Falcon offers the ideal setting for you to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Take time out to discover historical gardens, immerse yourself in clay work, create art, join seasonal nature walks and discover ancient woodland, fields, meadows and lakes, or swim in open water. Throughout your stay you’re encouraged to take moments to simply pause, witness, and attune your senses to the various environments you encounter. The newly envisaged Falcon is borne of the collaborative interests, passions and expertise of Lord and Lady Northampton (Spenny and Tracy), together with many of their trusted friends.Creating the flow from outside to inside
Inside The Falcon you’ll find places designed to cocoon, comfort and connect you to the restorative elements of the surrounding countryside, alongside contemplative works of art.
Friend and Interior Designer, Jackie Blakey, has skilfully and beautifully taken the brief to design The Falcon’s interior with the key objective to connect to nature and bring the outdoors in.
The Falcon’s heritage (originally a coaching inn from 1594) has been respected, whilst it has been sympathetically brought into the modern day. Fabrics, textures and materials echo the surrounding landscape, and an earthy palette promotes rest and renewal, whilst helping you find a connection to nature outdoors.
Bringing the landscape yet further indoors, the Eyas Restaurant, is under the direction of acclaimed Head Chef Russell Bateman.
Russell works hand-in-hand wherever possible with local farmers, estate gamekeepers and nurseries to supply the kitchen with produce that is grown, harvested and reared from within the Castle Ashby Estate, and so create menus that are regional, seasonal and nourishing.
Whatever your length of stay
Whether you’re popping in to enjoy some culinary delights, taking part in an art or wellbeing activity, or immersing yourself fully in a retreat, whatever your length of stay at The Falcon, you’re sure to experience a switching off from the outside world, offering you the perfect place and space to unwind and recharge.Silver Linings Retreats at The Falcon
